Hi

Just tried the FW with te centre conversion. Dont bother trying overdirve to the rear. Its like the car is 2wd only. The rear end was on fire!

After i swapped it around to overdrive to the front it was like a rocket!!

Cant wait for the first race!!

After blowing 5 plugs in 3 tanks I decided that my NS12S3 was about to blow so I had to stick in the down-on-power STS Dragon S3.
Rnd 1 - Blew plug after 3 laps in NS12
Rnd 2 - STS was bogging badly due to wrong clutch set up, also it struggled to change gear.
Rnd 3 - Clutch was better, so was the lower change up, car still felt slow but I set my 1st 20 lapper and took FTD.
Rnd 4 - over set clutch, just kept spinning the wheels, track felt slow but my 19 lap time was still faster than 2nd on grid.

Final - led every lap of the 10 minutes bar one, that being my pit stop lap.

Just a shame I wasn't able to race the NS12 as it is a much faster motor, but I did learn how much the clutch can affect the cars performance, I wont have it biting so late in future.

I use the 46 rear 45 front from the centre conversion. I cant believe the handeling!

The 39 - 40t split equates to a tyre size from fron to rear of 2.1mm to have the front going wheels going the same speed as the back.

With 45-46 equates to 1.4mm so i dont have to shave off too much from the front tyres!

Pinion gears for the FW05R, Evo & RR are the same 0.8 gears, they can be fitted to the R if you change the spur gears.
FW05 Spur gears do not fit the V1 models

Do you find your car has different turning radius between left turn and right turn? especially when on-power the car turn right more easy but pushing on left turn? or my car has some problem?

Mine does the same, although it's nothing I couldn't get use to and perhaps even take advantage of sometimes. I think it's a combination of tweak and torque steer, inherent characteristics of a shaft car. With the engine and fuel tank on one side, it could never acheive the weight balance of center mounted engine and fuel tank.
