Jack....Thank you!!! I enjoyed the conversation and the new tires are excellent! Chris Lefebvre finnished what I couldn't do, drove my car with the new tires from the C to the A with a 4th place finnish. The tires resist chunking, give better forward bite and faster cornering speeds.... I bought a few at the track and can't wait to run them at my local track this weekend.

Keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to those new "trick" rims....

Congrats on 18yrs of innovation and dedication!

I was running the Kawahara tires at 301 Raceway up in till the Capital Classic. C-Witt Hobbies got the new Jacos last Wednesday. I tried them and they were awesome. All you have to do is tru them and slap them on. I had zero issues with them all week. They are board and burm friendly no chunking or peeling.

Joe - The offset is the same as the Serpent style rims that Jack used to use. They are not offered in different offsets.

TomB - I am sure Jack will post something reguarding the foam....

They are available now. I ordered some last Friday from nexusracing.com.

It's hard to notice the 1.5 wheel when they are new, but it's very noticeable when you cut them down. Has anyone tried them in lower grip yet? I intend to run them on a prepped parking lot.

The new Prism 1/10 and 1/8 tires just won the Byron's race. Congrats to Josh Cyrul for his double win using the new tires! That's 2 races and 2 wins. There are a lot of new tires coming out, but the Prism 1.5's seem to be the ones winning the races.

All gas tires are Japanese rubber, including ours. We really don't use much European or American foam for any competitive racing tires these days.
I think most online mail order shops carry them- Tower, Stormer, Brooklyn, etc. We don't sell direct because we try to support the local shops as much as possible.

when using these tires or any nitro tires for that matter, do you guys use suntan lotion like the electric guys? for example: use your tire sauce and let it soak in, then add suntan lotion and let it soak in.

regarding this last question I think it is safe to say no. If I remember right most tracks say that you arent allowed to use any traction addidtive on your tires. I think it has to do with it mixing with the compound already on the asphalt. At my local track traction compound on tires is porhiobited, I am sure that is the case at many others as well.

everyone uses paragon for carpet and electric outdoors, plus with nitro since you are running for more than 5 mintues the compund would probally wear off. Almost all nitro only tracks spray some type of traction compound on the actual surface before the races.

I've played around with saucing the tires. It helps in qualifying on a slick parking lot but just doesn't seem to last more then four or five minutes. Factor in the warm-up time and it just won't help much.

On high bite tracks you end up fighting traction rolls all the time so why would you want to make it worse by soaking the tires?

Ive tried in parking lots and you are right, once the race starts the stuff has worn off it seems. Its better to set your car up so it doesnt need it for nitro since we race for up to 60 minutes in the mains!
