Thats basically the motor Iam running now. I also used to run it in my R40. The thing I didnt like was the exhaust port was smaller , but now with the jlr coming with a special gasket for regular exhaust use. Its much better.

I also just got some plumbers threaded tape , or teflon threaded tape some call it and just wrapped a stock gasket and tada a few wraps it was perfect fit for the exhaust and on it went nice and tightly.

I simply modified mine and its running quite fast. With a larger carb your motor will run better im going to try swapping on a nova carb and see how it fairs. But for now its plenty fast thats for sure. Its a good club racer , youd be suprised. I think its just how the piccos are...at least the few Ive tried. They have real crisp easy to read tuning. Kinda reminds me of he cv-r days. Fast , responsive , but it just has really good power and justs keeps on going.

Is yours a standard glow-plug?

use double sided tap works better. cut it round

Red is older 1/8th shoe and its more exspensive. Yellow is the best bet besides gray.

Yellow lasts longer and gives a less snappy engagement. Better suited to lower grip conditions.

Yellow isnt. It has like 4 hours of use time , while the grey is 1.5hours of use. Some can use them for a longer while but this is what mike swauger says for racing. I hear some people never change them and from what they say on the forum. "Run Fine" But Ive also heard people say that Elvis talks to them in their cereal, so.

The yellow engagement is less snappy. The grey is the most aggressive disc. Definently worth use at a high grip track.

Yellow and Red are about equal. The yellow just came out last year so its the latest disc to come out as well. I dont buy red anymore due to the fact yellow is out.

That was quick. Sorry to see you leave the R40 camp. What are you going to race now?

Default Rebinding Spektrum

Hi Guys,

I think this is abit out of topic. but I have a R40.

I have recently got a good deal getting a set of EX-10 and spektrum pro module and receiver and extra SR3500 Micro Racing receiver.

initial I could bind the receiver to the ex-10. but later I realize. I can throw away the old failsafe. It has a inbuilt failsafe! So, I had to actually rebind it to set the failsafe position. I have been looking at the instruction manual. I couldn't find anywhere how to rebind the receiver which is already been binded.

I can't actually make the receiver into a flashing mode (ready to bind).

If people can give me some hints or tips on setting the failsafe mode, it would be good!

Thanks in advance!
