Hmmm.... I guess I'll just have to cough up the $20 for 2 very small peices of aluminum.

its realy easy and cheap if you have few right tools to make your self this parts,i already made the same from lighter aluminium and they are super fine i made them also a bit larger so the server stays even lower than is original position.
aluminium is easy material to work and you can make cheap parts that works better for you.
i if i find a camera i will post some photos

Thats a pretty good idea. I have some 1/4" square alum bar stock laying around. Now I just have to find some time to do it!!
I have been snatching the peices here and there when I can get it really cheap on Ebay. Don't know when I'll do the install, but when I'm done, I'll have a 04 spec and a 05 spec r40 ready to race. I was also thinking about using the racer2 mounts, drilling and taping the other 2 holes, and drilling and countersinking holes in the chassis. Don't know if I can bring myself to drill into my nice shiney new chassis though.

or,you could use the racer 2 posts with longer screws and fill up the space with washers or spacers....

Good ideas... I was looking for the mounts online and can't find anything. I also called locally and nothing. I might be forced to make my own after all.

they should work fine, but you'll only be able to use the top screw holes in the servo to mount....the rpm mounts are a little over half an inch tall, the haras are 1 inch......all you need is the servo to be 1/4 inch off the top deck and you'll be good to go.....

glad I could help...

Those holes would make the chassis flex more, which would make the car hook up better on uneven surfaces.
