front, aren't they the same apart from the casing though? The kit came with the 36 tooth pulley, but you cant buy the gasget & screws without getting the pulley set (part 73481). Then you've got to get all the internals

72445 HPI Diff Shaft 6x25mm R40 (2)
86032 HPI Bevel Gear Set Gear Differential Savage 21
6811 HPI O-Ring 6x9.5x2mm Black Savage 21 (8)
Z260 HPI Pin 2.5x12mm Savage 21 (12)
+ diff fluid, etc

seems like a lot to outlay for 1 gear but on my track it'll make a big difference

you can get the gaskets seperate there was a post about a year ago that gave a direct link to it on tower hobbies I'll take a look for it but no promises.

as for the screws you should be able to find them local at a hardware store or supply house for machine parts.

brakes! having a 1 way up front means only your back wheels can be slowed with the brakes, so you pretty much have to be going in a straight line when you brake or you spin. It probably has some kind of effect on steering too

FYI I seem to have hit a sweet spot with my setup thanks to everyone here, and as a result won my first ever heat and TQ'd for the final at the club yesterday - got a bit hacked in the final and finished 3rd. Go team!

Congrats.....

I'll tell you a funny story....My first touring car(my third RC car) was a kyosho GP spyder...built it in june of 1997.......I had tried to compete in the parking lot racing with a Associated RC 10 dual sport, but was getting beat by the 4 wd cars......so I bought the spyder, and I mean,I LOADED it with every option kyosho made,,,,( I still have this car,its in MINT condition)....anyway,one of those options was a one way, which no one in my area was using, half of them didn't even know what it did or what it was for....Anyway,the first time I tried the car,the thing spun every time I hit the brakes.....and for the life of me,I couldn't figure out why it would spin.....I called hobby services the next day(tower hobbies's service arm)....and no one there raced,so they were no help....So I finally took it out in frustration and put a diff back in.,....it was only a year later, when I had stepped up to a rs4 nitro, that I was able to figure it out.....still makes me laugh to this day...
