Default 30k or 10k

I was wondering which do you all recommend on a semi low traction technical track. 10k or 30k in the rear? I was at a local track that was had these conditions and the car was not allowing me to get on it comming out of an corner. Could it be that 30k in the rear would be too heavy? My setup was:

front oil 60wt
toe 1+
camber -2
shocks were mounted front and rear outer most position on bottom abd same for upper part stock shock towers.

rear oil 50wt
toe -3
camber -2

thanks all

If you were spinning out when you got on the throttle, then yes, the rear end is too tight. You could try the 10K or even go to simple grease. You might even need to go back to the 2 gear diff if the traction is too low.

AMG just posted one.

Silver Spring in front

-2.0 degree rear toe

30k oil in the rear

Front spool / solid

Im guessing the rest stock settings.

--

Im running a parkinglot track too.

Ive got spool in the front , 4 gear rear diff with 10k oil in the rear , -2.5 rear toe , .5 front toe , -1.75 camber in the front and -2.5 in the rear , running like 64mm to 58mm tires. I adjust rideheight as retrue as the tires go down. Im going to be trying to run a slightly smaller diameter front tire to offset my traction wear since the rear wears faster than the fronts for my next race.

Rideheight im running 5 in the front and 5.5 in the rear.

Im running 37 shore twister tires all around. But im still playing around with those. So far works well.

I use black front springs and silver rear. I'm thinking there is a difference between the 2005 and the earlier models with the chassis balance. I use stock shock settings with 50wt shock oil f/r. I also use the 4 gear rear diff with 30k but a 2 gear front diff with 100k. I used 37 shore front and rear too.

The other thing could be the grip. I switched to the silver (softer) rear springs for a race with lower traction because the rear was too loose. Until then I had black all around.

Anyone know if any other brake discs fit the R40? Mtx3?? BTW I plan on getting an MTX flywheel, weights and pressure plate. I think the angle of the flywheel might be why the r40 clutch is so hard to get working.

Silver front, black back is the ticket if you are running a spool to restore offpower turnin. Without the spool your setup may be better. I usually use black or gold front and Red proceed rear with a oneway.

Ahh, now I understand. Makes perfect sence to me now. I will probably give the spool a try.

04' specs would require;

LW chassis
LW 2 speed
CG front and rear shock towers
Alum. shocks
LW CG upper deck
LW 2 speed and mid shafts
BB steering upgrade
Heat sink motor mounts
TI screw set

05' specs require;

New LW chassis
New CG upper deck
Fuel tank
LW battery pack
Servo mounts?? (not sure you need this)
CG front and rear shock towers
Alum. shocks
LW 2 speed and mid shafts
BB steering upgrade
Heat sink motor mounts

Or buy Harrys new one he has for sale!! It will cost you way more to convert to 04 or 05 spec, I can guarantee that.

Yup part by part its more exspensive. Get harrys car and build a whole new ride. Leave that one you drive on the streets all the time for the streets and keep the one for the track , track only.
