My RB 401 pipe should be in tomorrow. I'll get shots of it with the Rody, but mainly going to run it with the MT12 first for practice, then try the Rody. I'm just SOO dying to see the differences.

Wow! He wants $800 for the rolling chassis and a TZ 3 port. Thats way over what I can get it for new.

Oops I just read bummy's post again. How much in US dollars is AU$800?

Hey all, I've been out of the loop for a while (mostly because I no longer have any R/C stuff!)
Just wondering if the R40 Hara Edition has hit shelves yet..

Was curious a while back about if the relocation and reconfiguration of things helped anything much..

PS: Good to see all the regulars still on their game!

No longer had rc stuff? What happened?? Yeah the 05 has hit the shelves and according to our Serious R40 guys here, they like it a lot better. I'm going to stay with mine as I spent too much in it. To sell it for a less price and upgraded to the newer version, which its parts costs a heck lot more, is just outrageous. Might as well sell it n just run the MRX4. My RB pipe is in and I'll get it tomorrow. TOday is an awesome day to run...but still way to much snow on the ground.

Aw man!! You couldn't run yesterday? bummer. I'm a bit further north (Kingston area) No snow at all. completely broke in the 5 port RB & began set up work yesterday. Sorry U missed out m8. Today promises to be the same. Hope you can find a clear lot somewhere. I also will be running the older version car as I've invested way too much to change this season. Maybe next!!

Just had a look at Haras racing schedule for this year. It does not seem to include 1/10 touring GP for both the worlds and Roar US Nats. What up with that?!?!

Seems to include a lot more 1/8th buggy tho...........

Yeah unfortunately.... It's been warm, just too much snow. I probably could've drove today, but I've been busy. I'm going to tune up the 8th.

As I was browsing through my friend's R40 manual today (regular version) I noticed a discrepency with my manual (2005 Edition). The front lower suspension mount is attached upside down when compared to mine (mine have the pointy parts down). Seems that the way mine is in makes the lower a-arms higher in relationship to the chassis. What exactly does this do handling wise? Which position is generaly reccomended.

I then noticed that with the stock shock settings, my front ride hight is much lower than the rear (about 4mm compared to about 8mm). Could this be due to the position of the lower mounts? Or is this normal?

Also, does anyone have a link to a box-stock setup thats all on one page so I don't have to flip through the entire manual to check everything?

There are apparently two versions of the manual. The stock setup is generally considered to be with the hingepins lower, and this is what you will find on most of the HPI team driver setup sheets.

Raising the front lower hingepins raises the front roll centre.

Well no pipe, but I managed to get some nice HPI alum shocks and the 4 bevel gear conversion. I'll put them up soon.

What races do you run? Link to the car please - I can't find it.
