3racing chassis weighs almost the exact same as the stock r40 chassis. But is very stiff and a good bit thicker...I think 4mil.

See above. My worked 2004 weighed in at 1745 at the last meet i was at, but that included quite a bit of lightening. My 2005 bone stock (with everything now attached DOH) is 1800g.

Hmmm dunno. Mine has the steel screws still and full sized HPI tires. I use the 9550 steer servo and a NS12 motor with Skyline pipe and Protoform Stratus 3.1 body............

Have you driven it with the 3.1 body. I just got one and its ready to go racing...just havent used it yet. Heard it was nice....just looking at it you can see some serious aero tech on it. They have the a-pillars in the front very raised and edged with 2 swoops up the front hood to compliment it.

I'm using the 3.0. Works pretty good. What are the differences between it and the 3.1?

the difference is that the 3.0 (190mm) is for electric and the 3.1 (200mm) is for gas. don't believe me? look at the protoform site.

The 2005 has not turned a wheel in anger yet, and wont for 2 more weeks

But I have been using the 3.1 for a good 6 months now. I find it very good for when you want the car to stay on line and pull straight under power. It lacks the overall initial corner lunge that the mazda 6 is famous for, but it is much more fluid in the turns generally. When you have got a heap of front bite and want to calm the car down without losing steering its a good choice.

Odd. I could have sworn there was a 200mm 3.0 as well.

Which reminds me since we are HPI owners...has anyone compared the mazda6 or 3.1 from protoform to the Aero2 from HPI?

Aero 2, thin lexan, did not thrill me with handling. Overall I personally wont buy another one.

Dodge Stratus 3.0-3.1

#1476-00 (Carpet 190mm)
#1476-01
(All-Purpose 190mm)

#1477-00 (
Never resting too long on our laurels, PROTOform is proud to release the latest Dodge racebody designed specifically for the rigorous world of nitro-sedan racing, the 3.1 Stratus. After a clean sweep of the 2004 IFMAR Gas Sedan Worlds, we knew that we would need something pretty special to stay on top.

The 3.1 provides the balance and high speed stability for racers that are serious about winning races or those just wanting to have some fun. It fits all the current 200mm gas-sedan chassis and comes with protective coating, stickers sheet and an aggressive rear wing with mounting hardware. We think the Stratus 3.1 will be on the podium quite a bit in 2005.

Features:
· Light durable .030 lexan with protective film
· High Downforce design for those powerfull nitro - sedans
· Conforms to 115 mm height rules of IFMAR, ROAR and EFRA etc.

children...play nice....
