Make sure there is a hairline crack in the clutch shoes. Set adjustment screws on the sides to where they would almost get scraped. In just enough.

That should help.

my tyre choice is fast tyre's . great tyres/ but it just slides out so easy under power you give it a bit and it just spins around.
iam using the standard oil that comes with the kit, in that little bottle thing front and rear, i took the one way out, as the track i race on is very tight, and need full braking coming off the straight. cheers.
Use only the white grease that comes in the kit for the rear dif. The kit oil is too heavy.

Hi Chris

But how did you get the ride height needed with 7mm droop or were you not using the graphite upgrade rear shock parts? cause if i try 7mm all i can get is 3mm ride height without bending the arms

Hara didnt enter his r40 into the ROAR nats cause of comitment of the Japanese ep touring car nationals. I wonder why they had to put both nationals on the same dates...I would've loved bragging rights of another ROAR win on the r40...oh well hopefully again next year. Winter project is some parts for the r40...Since i wont be able to run it much.

I used the +2 blocks on the rear and no graphite upgrade rear shock parts. I found the car went better on our track set like this.

3racing makes some universal purple ones.

--

I got my new chassis in , going to weigh it tonight (standard process , lol). Im thinking on building up 3 different r40s. One a well hopped up 2004, my main race car. Then ill build the other 2 with the 3racing chassis and the one I just got and let them pit go again other and see which feels better for my backup. Maybe Ill find a winner out of the bunch .

--

Also has anyone tried the v2 shocks yet, Im ordering those next week.

I still don't use grease in the rear of my R40 and it stays glued to the ground.
