Hi guys, if any of you are looking for an R40 with a lot of hopups as a backup car or even a first car, I have one for sale here for, what I think, is a pretty good price.

Just to let you guys know , the new rd logic pipe is out. Called the Turbo III pipe which has the reinforced stinger.

I might try it out , but have yet to throw the cvec on there.

The new Mielke tuned pipes are apparently very good, I like the chrome coating which means dirt and crap just slide right off.

got to run my r40 today after a couple months down time.. I almost forgot what a blast it is.. also I noticed that in a short time your driving skills start to take a turn for the worse... not bad, but enough to be noticable..
and on a side note, I went back to odonnel fuel after giving sidewinder a try.. much much better.. car ran faster, cooler, and tuning was more predictable and consistent..

Hi onnetz, wondered where you went! I've just switched to odonnel fuel also, quite happy with it but running different motors so not sure how it stacks up against the tornado and byron fuel I used b4, temps seem good but its getting colder here though. One gripe I do have with it though is all my engines have been died yellow inside, the fuel is pretty much clear but when it burns everything it touches goes a pee coloured yellow!

hey,
the only time I have noticed anything other than the top of the piston being a light tan color was if I didnt make sure all the fuel was cleared out of the motor after running.. like if their are a couple drops in the tank, and they sit for a while it will turn yellow.. I dont think it actually burns yellow, but turns yellow when mixing with moisture.
I have heard alot of people complain about the yellow but never had a problem with it and this is the only explanation I can come up with..
It may be over kill but if I am going more than say 5 mins between tanks then I run the tank and line dry on the starter box, then run a sqirt of wd40 through it..

ah that could be the reason, I dont use wd40 only after run oil, wd40 is an excellent degreaser also, so it probably cleans the engine internals very effectively and even more so if you flush the engine with it after every race! I'm not bothered about the yellow stains as I know this is just the colour the oil goes once its burns and we know oil doesnt corrode, nitro and meth does. yellow just simply isnt my favorite colour

come to think about it, it may turn yellow from simply being oxygenated like you say, I drained the rest of the fuel out of the tank I didnt run and I remember looking at it and noticing that it had gone a little yellow to.

I ran odonnels , ran ok from what I could tell , even though my motors were always flaming out. Probably not related.

But everything I ran it in , stained the lines , filters , body , wheels, stickers and I think even an old cf chassis turned a little yellow. For that fact I stopped using it.

Default R40 Hara Edition available in Europe?

Sorry if this has already been discussed. Am I reading this right that the R40 Hara Edition is available in Europe? Anyone know when it might be available in the US? Wanted to get an R40 but wanted to wait until this came out. Of course it will be a little cold to race soon so I might wait until the spring.
