On those spacers on the rear hinge pins for the lower a-arms. What do you guys normally run back there.....the manual says to put all 6mm towards the back of the car... i find that to be a little overkill.....just need some insight on what people are running.

I am running the same (all spacers to the rear for a shorter wheelbase)... adjusting the wheelbase is more of a "fine tune" adjustment. Typically, longer wheelbase is better on "open" tracks while the shorter wheelbase is good for "tight" tracks where you want the car "rotate" around the corner better. I havent played much with this adjustment.

AMG - Do you have a part number for this? I am placing an order from Tower and want to purchase this. What is the current capacity? Is it a 4-cell?

I had belts on my impluse that I never used a tensionser on and it stayed tight. Dang I really need some help .
The teeth of the pulleys will fill up with junk which you need to remove periodically. If you dont they belts can jump right off.

Hey man its a 5 cell 800mah pack. The thing to remember is not all packs are rated equal. I have a "Venom Racing 1100mah" pack that I cant get more than 700mah into and my HPI pack (which uses high quality sanyo cells and very good internal wiring) I get 780mah into. Its part number 33410.

Your using that, instead of the flat pack?

Or did I miss something on a new R40?

Heck, I'm still using the smaller gas tank, that came on the first R40's shipped.

yeah I was wondering that, onnetz or some1 recommended me to get a hump pack battery pack but only flat packs fit on mine, maybe the r40 used both styles at one point. I got a cheap pack of 1200mah nimh cells by Venom Racing, charge to 1300mah on my protrak. 1a linear with a delta peak voltage of 0.06 work well for me.

oh yeah, AI what does this spring do?....

Does it help prevent the pads from dragging or sumit?

Cheers

I ll try to clean them in a little bit. But what about my belts being so loose. Are you guy's new belts loose? I think the hobby shop guy gave me the wrong belt or something.

With my wife being a nurse helps measure volumes. This tank holds 71cc of fuel. This car runs out of fuel with 20 - 35 seconds to go. I hope that the extra 4cc's makes run time.

My belts seem like a great fit to me.

Hump pack will not fit in my R40. I'm using a promatch 1100mah flat pack in the car.

700mah - 1300mah, don't really matter if your racer. If your series enough, you should peak those batteries each time you get ready to race. At least I do..

Yeah thats the lightweight hpi pack I want to try that as well. Isnt it the same thing as 5 AAA cells. Did anyone try that yet I forgot.

Will these fit in our cars?

The brake action for some reason on my car is sticky. With that it always applys pressure. So it never gets stuck braking. I hear some R40's get this problem.

A TRS probably also would work but at that time the car didnt have one. I now have one for racing, since its required but I always use TRS's was just too lazy to buy it. Plus it kinda drains your battery faster.
