Default shock springs

I was looking at the list of shock springs that was posted a while back..
and there aren't very many for the r40.. are you using the ones for the pro4?
I want some a little more firm than the stock black and silver springs.

Regg- Yeah, I'm waiting to hear from that guy, but most likely I will get a car from elsewhere since he is taking too long and not getting back to me. I'm sure I can get something better looking than a 1993 buick anyway. The car's record is clean, but I never really saw it yet. EH, we will see what happens. Good thing this site isn't like RCCA so I can upload more pics and size don't matter. Hold on guys here they come!!

Well since this is the R40 thread, I won't disrespect it and post my MRX4 pics here. Here is the link to my MRX-4. http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...58#post1610758

As for the R40, the one way diff and solid rear axle was cancelled. Gonna run both cars in the lot. MT12 will be goin up for sale.

Hi everyone, great thread and very informative, have been through the whole r40 threads and have picked up a ton of info (over a few weeks that is!). Please bear with me as a newbie running this car. I am currently running my new r40 at my local track, have been through break in and a few runs.

I am running the stock set up as per manual and have noticed that there excessive wear in the rear tires tappering internally due to the negative camber. (Fast tyres 42sh). Should I run 0 camber at the rear and excusing my ignorance camber settings is by removing or increasing the spacers or adjusting the turnbuckles?

Excellent choice in getting the R-40 EXPERIENCE!!!

Having neg camber is very important for the car to handle turns properly. I have mine set to 2.5 neg camber and the wear on the inside is noticeble, but since my track is very fast, the outside of the tire also wears... The stock set-up is OK, but you should try Hara's set up at hpi.com Also try to have you ride height at around 5mm front and 6mm rear. ALso play with the toe in f/r I have cero toe-in in the front and 2 degrees toe- in in the rear...
good luck....

Is anyone lightening the clutch weights in order to increase engine RPM off-the-line? Or are you simply adjusting the clutch nut? I already have the Mugen shoe and spring installed.
