What do you guys think of those?
You might consider 40' or 42's for the rear.

hmmmm my stock spurs are 42 & 48..
pinions are 16 & 19 so it probably comes out about the same.

The jaco nitro shoes say they are specially formulated for nitro racing cars. They are supposed to last longer.

I have not tried them yet but will be using them come this saturday so I will be sure to let you guys know how things go. Im hoping to pick up a lot of tips as this will be an hpi only event.

Are you refering to the stock gearing on the car or the stock LW 2speed gearing? The stock is pretty good for all around. Infact most nitro sedans offering gearings starting at like 7.78:1 on first and 7.20:1 or so on 2nd. Lately they changed the pitch and that allows you to gear the car even lower on 2nd gear and taller gear ratio. However the Yokomo GT4 is an acception. Bone stock their cars has 6.60:1 on first gear and a 4.00:1 flat. With an RB X12 STD 3 port alone the cars hauls.

Welp, I've got $900 to blow and I'm thinking of a new car to buy. Not sure what it will be, but something to mess around with. Maybe a new tourer or something like that and some servos for the buggy, but not sure as yet.

HARK- This is what I did, I spent like $150 bucks on new parts for my HPI RS4 racer 2. I got a new chassis, front/ rear bulk heads, carbon graphite arms, hingepins, tuned pipe and will try it with R-40 suspension and some foams. This is just to bash around and leave the R-40 only for strict competition or serious bashing like with the serpents and stuff, but most of my friens have HPI super nitro or the newes HPI evos and I'm tired of kicking butt against them, so I'll get the racer ready to bash around at a more suitable level with my friends. You can aldo buy some servos for your Buggy. Maybe spend around $100 on those. Get a new body for te R-40, like the nissan 350, try it handles great!!! so far, so good. Lol. those evo HPI's shaft driven are really cool, all you need to do is change the suspension and install a faster engine, header and tuned pipe.

Naw no Evo for me. I already have an MT12 and don't wanna buy something with engine. Was thinking of an NTC3 kit, but my friend talks about its durability often, which isn't the best. The HB could use some servos as it doesn't have any. I'm tired of swappin em back n forth 2. LOL. Gonna leave the stock .21 engine in there for bashing around.

Ok, I'd think you should get something that wrks for bashing only, but if you wanna have 2 racings cars is up to you, I'm sticking with the RS4 racer ause I already have it lol...

Post GRAPHITE SUSPENSION ARMS

Aren't those the exact same parts from HPI, or are they different? And in general are the HPI Hop-Ups better than the equivalent other brand Hop-Ups? How about the Titanium or Graphite brake-discs; any good? And if I were to get the graphite pad plates would I glue the pads on? I don't know about you guys but I took my rear diff. apart because it was grinding and found that where the pin (that holds the smaller gears) sits the plastic was woren out slightly which probably caused some play in the diff. case. What life should I expect from the diffs. and/or diff. cases?
