so far rcmart tells me my tranny is still in transit. and tower back ordered the mid shaft on me so I have the rear lt wt shaft so far. finnally got the bearing upgrade for the steering.

I'm looking at my pullys now and i'm considering getting the aluminum ones the plastic spacers are all deformed almost like they've started to melt.

I noticed that you have the aluminum on yours are they heavier then stock or about the same? and how do you like them?

Interesting. You should see my MT12 accelerate as well regg. It's still very fast even with the gear ratio in the mid 6:1 for first, and 4.4 someting in 2nd. It's fast and I impressed ppl as well. A lot actually. Im using the stock spur, but a 15T CB in my HB and the stock MGT shoes, flywheel, and CB. I'll send ya a pic via Gmail.

I'm in the process of swaping out all my stanless steel screws to the hexhead screws I got yesterday

Btw, if I don't get to do 8th onroad, I'll just get more upgrades for both cars. R40 is gonna be decked out and I'll get a Hudy board for it.

Well it's official the stainless steel screws suck big time. I put a brand new set in when I swapped out the chassie wouldn't ya know it I had 5 of them round out when trying to remove them. I had this problem on my savage any screw with a 2mm or 1.5mm that wasn't a socket head would round out with no warning. so far these hexhead screws are the best i've tried so far haven't had one strip on me yet. I have a bunch of them on both my savage and my buggy.

Regg-Try the LW 2speed. The ratios are

Stock:
First gear- 16T/48T-----------7.263:1
Second gear- 19T/45T-----------5.734:1

LW 2speed:
First gear- 22T/60T---------6.600:1
Second gear- 29T/54T--------4.506:1

Doesn't seem like much, but it adds more top end. Also when combined with the LW shafts the engine seems to rev as fast if not faster than stock setup. It's awesome! BTW, they adjusted the track to be more than 200FT on the straight? Yikes. Few times I went it was shorter than that. Gonna try it out in the parking lot on a speed run. Just wanting to time the car running on an average of 200FT.

BTW, my LW shafts are steel, not titanium. Only way to know is take a magnet and see if it sticks to it. The steel will stick, but not the titanium.

Regg
aluminum puleys weigh around 4 grams each, plastic ones weigh around 2 grams each... I have them too, but I use them to bash around because of their contruction, but when the time comes for racing I use the plastic ones. The aluminum ones at rcmart are like $10 bucks each, while the plastic ones are like $6 bucks for a set at towers... I would buy many of these sets instead of the aluminum because they also start to deform after a while...

Hark
I can't wait to try out the lt wt 2speed should be here sometime this week. And I deffinitly have the steel shafts.
Last time I was there they had the track going nearly edge to edge. the 1/8 scales were really flying down the back straight, even had a few go airbourne. LOL

Klan
Thanks for the heads up I'll stick to the stock plastic in that case I already have a few spares.

try to adjust some sort of floating rear mounts to have the draft help you instead of affect you with the springs...
