Yeah... the side screw are a pain, but I will use my dremmel to make it work lol...
I can't wait to go to my POBox tomorrow to get the chassi and put it together...
I also was weighing the brakes where the pads go...
the stock one (both pads) weigh 6 grams
The graphite ones i got at rcmart both with pads weigh 2 grams...
1/3 compared to the normal ones...
I can't wait to weigh the whole car with everything except gas...
so far I took off 44 grams...

Not bad. I'm sure that adds up. I'm gonna do it big and race nitro onroad for the summer. Finally made a decision. May sell an rc or two to get an engine, bunch of upgrades and spares for the car so I can run it. Gonna look into more LW parts also.

Kool. Thnx. My next upgrades will be the chassis and shock towers. For now I'd like a new engine.

Hark don't go to crazy on the lw parts from what I recall reading earlier in this thread you make it to light and it starts to get a little twitchy.
I just swaped out the chassie last night and it made quite a bit of difference. got to test it out in the parking garage today now I can't wait to get the lw 2 speed, the shafts will have to wait a few more weeks.
Right now i'm very happy with my MT12 has plenty of power and lets me keep up with the big boys except on the longest straights, if I change engines this season I might consider the new OS 12 thats coming out in may sometime.

OK the shock tower weigh half as the aluminum... each weighs 6 grams. the rear one is cool because you lose another 10 grams as you have to remove the body posts and use the ones that come with the rear tower, so you dont have to use the plastic body post tower... cool huh!

as much as I would like to it's just not in the budget at the moment. just picked up about 150$ in spare parts to get thru the season. decided to get the lw 2 speed as an afterthought.

that and I've given up on the SS screws they look really nice but they just strip out way to easily. I found a stronger alternative, had these screws on my savage and 1/8 buggy for some time now and have yet to have one round out while trying to remove one. take a look HexScrews

Man you're done. Well I'll try to visit the LHS 2morrow, if not maybe Wednesday. Gonna find my new engine and sell a few other things.

also check the LW parts... you'll get more power with less weight
you might wanna try the LW parts first... they will make your car quick... chassis 20grams less + 12 grams on the shock towers... 32 grams that's a lot... just a reminder ok
