The one way bearing should be included with the 2speed unit both stock and the light weight upgrade. It should also be preinstalled; you shouldn't have to fit it in yourself. They use some kind of adhesive so it's xtremely hard to remove. The other side isn't flanged inwards so if it were to move it would slide out either end if not glued in properly. I'd say scrap the whole stock 2speed unit, for the LW 2speed unit. Also, get the LW shafts to go with it.

do you know what is the part # number for this 1 way bearing ? ..... what is the size ???

Beside that ... seems like I'm having problem of taking out the bearing from the hub ... it tied very hard ....
do you have any trick on how to open or take off the bearing.?? ....

Thanks Bro....
good to have reply from the expert ......

ps: If I buy the Lightweight 2 Speed Transmision set option part ... is it include the bearing ?...
Yes 87082 is that part I meant. The oneway bearing inside this part is press fit and likely glued in there as well. In any event it is very difficult to get out. You just buy this part for $7.69 from tower and replace the whole gear mount. I would also recommend you replace 87085 as well at the same time, some time the oneway slips due to this part being worn, and it will provide a nice smooth surface for the new oneway to run against.

Yes the lightweight 2 speed has a new bearing mount.

hey you guys did some testing today and my car worked great... can't wait to get my 2 speed LW...

Hey Gonz your problem is that your oneway bearing is toasted...
I get parts from japan at www.rcmart.com they have the part you are looking for... it's about $10 USD chec it out under parts, then go to HPI R-40 under three racing

If I was U I would get the LW .8 2 speed instead... I just got mine, but I haven't tried it
good luck

Gonz... I noticed that tower has the part too, but when I got my R 40 kit it did't have the oneway bearing... I had to order the part from Japan to make sure i'd get it, the part you are looking for is 87081 at tower, but the picture doesn't have the oneway, so make sure you call and ask to see if it comes with it...

I have the same radio - If you don't have the Pro, you really need the RS310 compact receiver ( instead of the RS300 ) as if fits in the Rx case. The RS300 is a rreeaall tight fit.

Has anyone ever toasted the flange bearing that goes in the clutch engagement with part number B019? I just took the clutchbell off and pieces of it came off... I had to special order them, as I didn't have a spare one... this sucks!!!
