Why for?

OS engines are great, but lack the extra 'umphf' I've found. Produce good torque early in the power curve, but beyond that .. I havn't seen one that could keep up with a high-end Novarossi (we're talking .12's here).

Perhaps the new Odonnel engine is your ticket

I did the DUMBEST thing today!!! I was finishing up breaking in my engine in the R40 and my receiver battery ran out. No problem my failsafe kicked in like a charm but the engine was still running. I turned off the receiver battery and then ZOOOOOOM the car took off hit a curb full speed. I bent a few front suspension parts. BUT one thing I would have to say is the amount of damaged done is very minimal in comparison to the speed and hit.

The one part I was really pissed about damaging was my NEW RD Logic tuned pipe.

One thing for sure...my new Novarossi MR12 Turbo is FAST. Wasn't planning on going full throttle this soon but oh well. So Fastharry if your looking for a fast engine this one has so far been as easy to tune as my former MT12.

treky11 My paypal went through so if you're still willing to sell the stock shocks I'm ready.

Default R40 Pro Version?

Does anyone know the different between the "Pro" version and the one sold in the US? Appreciate if you could list the different. I can't find in any HPI site the 2 different.

The only thing i know that the Pro version have the 1-way on the front.

Btw, is the parts for the R40 already available here in the US? Where?

Not sure about the TR turbo yet...Treky's car runs real well(you met him also).....but its no faster then the RB..of course, his engine isn;t broken in yet.....but unlike the RB,it stays running

Hey Guys.....

ANYONE try the new HPI RE engine yet...

In the new issue of RC CAR,they tested it in the r40..theysaid it had great low end......and BLISTERING top speed....equal to any OS or NOVAROSSI engine..(which,after seeing the SS 1hp claims, and seeing that dog run,Id find VERY hard to believe)...

esp. in a tank like the r40.....
The "HPI engine" is actually made by STS. You ever seen a IFMAR legal STS 3 port go, then you have seen what the "HPI" will do.
