Hey Rookie, you talking about FatAlbert? I think he hooked up with a girl (he needs some lovin). Anyways, couldn't you use the shims you have and shave the plastic down to prevent binding? Or am I totally off base from your discussion?

No...different guy, this friend of mine actually machined those NUTS with reverse thread so you can use both at both end without worrying the cup will get pushed in.....

I am not quite sure exactly WHERE are you talking about..? We were talking about the rear upper camber linkage modification.

20 smoke....I still have your name on the list, i will let you know when I get enough on my hand...
After sold out both of your R40...what are you up to now? mugen, V1RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR or 710?

Or you just got yourself the 2004 spec....

1 thing I still cannot get myself a 0.8 system onto my R40....there are no parts for that gear box.....no extra clutch, no extra spur gears...

I though 20 Smoke was talking about shimming the arms because of play. Anyways, he's keeping the R40.

I don't have any (at least not rediculously hugh) play in my R40 arms...if you have a arm that has a lot of play, shimming is NOT the solution, it is time to replace the mount and the arm.....

I was geting a mugen that is the most popular car here in florida we have a stete series that brings over 100 racers every time and club races that is close to 50 so it would be a little hard to sell so i'm going to give the r40 a chance and give it hell. the rear arm play i measured the rear bulk head on three different one's and all where different there is only about 1/2 to 1 mm or so of play so i' don't care

i might not get the right info from tower, but I am also not sure the CLUTCH shoes of the 0.8 is the same as the 1.0 one...if not, I am sure TOWER doesn't sell the 0.8 one....

Hey 20, Unfortunately it does matter who makes it. Its not as universal a piece as most electric car's spurs. The Mugen gears also has three mounting tabs on their spurs as well but they are slightly bigger ... so they won't fit the 2 speed housing. I believe the new shoes are lighter, new material, but as far as the same size of the 1.0, sorry I'm not so sure.

However, still, no clutch shoes for 0.8 gear box....at least, if your shoes wear out, what are you going to do...?
