I must admit, the car does look pretty trick, and since everybody carries HPI parts, it should be pretty easy to get spare parts for one, which scares me about a Yok. Mugen or Serpent. Once my money gets right and I break down and buy a starter box, I may end up getting one.

BUT I'm not giving up MY LD3...

Hmmm, R40 race car, LD3 optioned out middling car, CEN CT4 w/3 speed just for fun...sounds like a plan to me

well, heres a slight concern for me....

There is no parts listing on tower hobbies for this car..

Even the Savage had all the info, parts etc, before the car even got in stock....

I hope HPI,in a rush to get this car out, doesn't forget about support.......

I've lived through HPI Parts supply problems...its not a pretty site....

Don't worry, they've had a complete parts list for the car so they should list it soon. It takes time for them to input everything I'm sure.

I don't know what exactly shipped, but I do know the kits went out early this week. Harry, just buy 3 or 4 kits, you know you want spare cars too!

no problem..

If I need parts,I'll have Steve take them off his car

Better yet,I'll call Kent.....I'm sure he'll be happy to support me since I'm supporting the car..(esp since he doesn't want to hear my big mouth anymore)..

I'm done with the rear part of the car. All i can say is sweet setup. HPI uses shims between the pivot balls and suspension arm to adjust the toe. It's a nice, quick setup especially when youre adjustment is off in the middle of the race. HPI provided shims with different sizes (1mm,2mm and 3mm). The parts were fits perfectly. I didn't have any problem put them all together. The gear housings are very light.

Also the kit comes with universal front and rear, gear diffs., 26mm and 30mm HPI tires, graphite upper deck, plates front and rear shock tower. Nice features. I'm working on the front part of the car now, the fuel tank has a very interesting shape which allow a battery cover to go between the tank and the battery to prevent it may get wet from the fuel.
The only downsize of the kit is the plastic shocks. I bet the came out with these hop ups pretty soon...you know HPI

Also HPI gives lots of plastic parts, including tool for gear housing, ride height gauges and much more...

I'll keep it updated
