uh oh NCC said he aint playin this weekend

yeah i should be significantly lighter this time i am praying for a number beginning with 17??g and i will be pretty happy

i still need some power too wish i could afford a new x12 but then what would i blame losing on

proteus NCC lilrobby are we going to take over the A with r40s or what??

as far as tire wear i read that question all the time and there are some band-aids for the problem like trueing different diameter tires and running overdrive/underdrive combos but the real fact is untill the front tires and rear tires are the exact same foam it will never be the same wear and even then i bet that physics takes over and prooves it impossible no matter what

do your best but uneven tire wear is inevitable IMO

luckily for me i like how the car drives as the rear get smaller giving me a more front driving feeling car

and when the racings over i true them down and start over

Use the 22T side pulley. Then crank down on the tensioner. Now you need to true the front tires down 2.5mm to make the ratio 1:1. If you are running a front diff it can get ugly. If you are running a oneway tue the fronts around 3.5mm and you will find the wear rates are fairly close. The rears will still wear faster, but less so.

OK I got serious last night and took TQ with my porky 1850g car. Then I broke the car in the first lap of the final. Oh well.

Anyway I learned a few things along the way..........

The clutch fix. The way to make the clutch awesome is as follows:

1. Get a Mugen grey shoe or a Red rulon shoe from Delta. This will eliminate most of the slipping. The stock black shoe I estimates slips around 10000 rpm at least. With the red or grey that drops to a few thousand. Very noticable punch increase.

2. I finally trialled the new spring. I am using the Kyosho hard black spring from the Evolution. A Mugen silver will work similarly. The main advantage is that these springs have less winds and you dont need to crank down on them so hard. They are around 1mm shorter. With the HPI spring you need to crank down on it so hard to get good high engagement you start to get spring bind (the loops touch each other) and the engagement sticks. A harder spring wont get the binding.

I also used a RB V12 motor, still running in. Man this thing was like having a turbocharger on the mid range. The low end was great, but mid range was phenominal!! Top end is less than a NS12, but I did not give up any car speed at all, and I was slightly undergeared as well. I should have my 2004 parts soon............

I ripped off a rear suspension arm. I think the wheel nut caught a board and twisted the arm backwards. My titanium hingepin (GPM around 1% Ti I think) bend and ripped out of the rollcentre mounts.

I would not say so. I have sized the HPI bell and the Mugen bell. You might get it to work, but it would be a compromise. The HPI clutch is great with a few cheap simple mods. It is a little heavier than the Mugen clutch however.

Default Events Calendar

Hi folks, I've implemented an Events Calendar at 3Hobby.Com. If you are a registered user you can submit details on races and/or exhibitions from around the world. This easy to use calendar at 3Hobby.Com can be a one stop place for everyone to visit and see when the next event is that you may want to attend.

Searches for events are a snap and a lot of details and links to each event can be submitted and displayed for the surfing racer.

Also, since InitialD complained that 3Hobby.Com is too secure like a fortress, I've removed the security code that you require to login! (You happy man?)

Come over and join 3Hobby.Com, there are a lot of priviledges when you do so and its a free service (all I ask is your support) to all fellow RC racers for as long as I live!
