I don't think FT NTC3 required "THE NUTS" anymore, the rear use the lower pivot balls to adjust TOE instead of the rear turnbuckle.....UNLESS the FT NTC3 upper turnbuckle has the same problem like the R40.....then, that is the different case.

Guys,

I just sent an email to Lunsford Racing wondering why they are not making titanium turnbuckles and pivot balls for the R40. They are doing it for the RS4 ... so I am confused.

Lunsford has GREAT titanium parts. Wish they will make them for the R40.

Anyway I'll keep you informed on that.

Well.we finally got to do a little racing in NJ.,.....Not a real serious night....small crowd.....2 tc3 nitros,Impulses,a new 710....and my r40....

Let me say this........I just added the shock towers front and rear...Now I know the last time I raced was the HPI worlds in sept......But I remember pretty well how the car drove......and running the exact same set up..but with the shock towers...the car is transformed..even better than the stock set up.....carves through corners like it was a hot knife through butter....andnot for nothing....there were tc3's with RB turbo 5 ports.....Impulse's with RODY's......etc....

Amd my car, with an OS turbo...and running the new Sidewinder world Championship formula in 30%,gave away NOTHING to these cars on a 110 ft straight......So I'm real happy running the r40........

In fact,I sold one of my tc3's tonite..........

Can't wait to add the new 2 sp.........

OH yeah...one added note.....The new 710 runs real well......turns way better than the tc3.......didn't get a fair shot at it with teh r40....but it should be fun...

How is the Sidewinder Fuel working for you?

Im using Odonnell right now. It stinks. Literally. I've used this fuel for a long time (this is my 2nd gallon).

My LHS has Trinity Platinum, Blue Thunder, and Odonnell. So im thinking of going to another LHS and buy some Sidewinder. Any noticable performance gain? Hows the scent? Is it colored(easier to tell fuel level in fuel tank than Odonnell)?

Any one know how much lighter the HPI lightweight chassis is from the stock one?

I'm planning to get the HPI Lightweight chassis or the 4mm Integy Chassis....I thought I'd ask before I make a purchase.

let me say this to you....

My LHS has always sold Blue thunder....When I started in this hobby in 96,I thought that was a horrible fuel...(the std one).....

I started running Wildcat, and then progressed to Trinity monster HP)......(same fuel,a bit less oil).....But sometimes I would have a problem tuning my RB's.........So,I decided,at the end of last year,I would try Race Formula BT.....Lo and behold......INSTANT idle...NO stalling........COOL temps......Thank the Lord!!!...Finally.. ONE night of racing without a flameout....

I called Morgan Fuel, and they were really nice....The rep told me If I liked BT,Try the new wc sidewinder.........I didn't get the chance to try it last year....but I ran it last night.......It ran GREATT!!!!...I mean, that OS hauled........(and the R40 is no TC3 in the weight dept)....I was a little slower through the last corner before the straight than the other guys(the hazards of being 49.. )....But I caught ALL of them at the end of the straight)...

Heres the fuel at Horizon..
SIDEWINDER WORLD CHAMPION.30%,QT [COOSWC30Q]

Scent was OK....not that crap odonnel(I hate that fuel also)...

I'd have to tell you try a QT of the sidewinder.....

Titanium pivotballs from HPI. They are expensive so must have a fair bit of Ti.

Graphite side plates. A rigid one and a flexy one.
