I guess I don't have to worry about finding the rear tower now. I just found out from my buddy that the shop where I got the front tower also had the rear. Right on the hook below it no less!

So now I have the rear tower too. Not much else I planned on getting for my car...

Default Hara Setup

Alright, I'm close to putting this thing on the track and was looking at the Hara setup but haave some questions.

There are two settings in his list that I am puzzled as to how he measured. Bump stop 0mm and Rebound stop 1mm. Is this referring to how far the grub screws stick out through the sway bar blocks?

I think that refers to downstop(droop) and upstop. because normally drivers want 0 downstop so the arms are at the level of the chassis. I dont know much about upstop but I have been told its better not to use it. You need set up tools to measure the droop.

I did this too and can now get picco xp12s, and sirio evo 2s in and out easily. One key is that when dropping it back in is to push the brake back with a finger under the brake brace until the flywheel clears. After a few times it's cake.

If you can't find it from HK (rcmodel...etc), you won't see it coming to state.................(beside Japan)

Beside, I talked to seveal friends in HK (store owners) none of them know it will be imported and none of them are interested...(Market is low about R40 oversea....all FW-05R, S710, G4 and of course.....MTX3)

Not yet, but quite soon it will be available in HK. Check RainbowTen in Japan they usually have quite a bit of stock.

I am quite sure some kits will make it to HK, but as you say the car is not very popular there.

The industry standard for droop measurement is the HUDY tool. Basically what it refers to is how far the hub sits above or below the chassis line. Bump is uptravel, I assume Hara means "unrestricted" by 0mm. Most people do not restrict uptravel. Rebound is droop and is measured with the above method.

Default rear shock spacer

Does anyone know where I can find part number Z805 for the R40 it is a spacer used in the front and rear shock towers. they are in between the ball studs and the shock towers. I lost one while running and I looked on tower but did not find them. Are there anyother cars that may use this same peice?

thanks Jason
