Thanks Bobby,

Sorry we did not see more of eachother. I was busy tring to learn about the car. It has been a while since I turn so many wrenches in one weekend. For me as well as others.

Thanks for the reminder, DJ. I've got so many photos it's hard to keep track of everything. I think it's my memory. That, and being overwhelmed with images. I'll add yours to the chassis photo collection.

The slide show should have been up already, but I got sidetracked...

My turn to give thanks to all the people that make going racing fun for me! Ted Hammer and all the Toledo club members, THANK YOU for putting on a great event year after year. I enjoyed seeing a lot a familiar faces and hanging out. Brian Berry, it was a lot of fun running qualifiers together.... you ran great all week and it was good to see you and your dad, sorry you too had bad luck in the main. I think DJ Apolaro should get big applause for an awesome performance in such a short time running 8th scale. See you again at the Nats! Congrats to Josh, Skip, and Bobby for their well deserved wins.

Even though the Final didn't end the way I had hoped, we still had a great week..... winning the Invitational Shootout, taking TQ in a very competitive field of 1/8 drivers, and finishing second in the final. It wouldn't at all have been possible without the tireless work of Rick Davis, Jim Adkins, and my wonderful wife-to-be, Sherry. Their time and efforts to help me go fast can never be repaid. Lastly, thank you to all of my sponsors and the awesome equipment they provide!

I look forward to seeing many of you at the Nationals, and again next year at the GLC

Scott,

"wife-to-be" I thought that was an engagment ring! I was going to ask you guys about that after the mains. I got tied up with saying good-bye's and track cleanup, I forgot to swing over before you left. Congrats on your run and I had a blast racing with you in qualifying. I have a couple months then I will be getting married. Oh the planning and payments are starting to go out now. Best of luck to you and Sherry!

FYI....Try to do something simple and go to Vegas....It adds up really quick, believe me!!!! And I only hear that it continues.....

Also send my hello to Rich for me.

I guess I might as well say thanks along with everyone else.

I want to thank mostly all of the hard work that my fellow club members have put in!! I know I put a little time in, but there are others that have put in a TON of time and effort! I also want to thank Stosh and Andy for all of the help and for keeping me up so late. I also need to thank Kropy for yet more sweet paint (and he even got it to me before I was done with my main..........) And I want to thank Dave for nice pit work even though I think you have put a jinx on everyone you pit for.......

Congrats to Bobbo Flacko for the win, Josh and Andy for a good race in sedan. Rick for the "big car" win with style, Also to Stosh for the 1/8 win and hopefully it will help him somehow at the worlds.

Even though my performance was way less than stellar, I can't wait for next year and another week of vacation!! (The worst day on vacation is better than the best day at work...........)

I guess I need to give the most and biggest 'thanks' to Andy for teaching Josh's daughter to say "Hay Josh"!!

DJ's Race Report is now posted on SGrid Online, www.sgrid.com, along with race photos and chassis photos of the Serpent 960 with the new Twister Pro Light rims.

Here's a couple of the images...
