Default MT12 converted to a MR12?

Presently I have a MT12 and was wondering whether or not it can be converted to a MR12?

If it's possible please provide proceedures and parts.

If conversion can't be done can I just change the button head to a turbo button to convert to a MT12 Turbo?

Thanks,
Puma

Why? Have your MT12 modded, and you'll own a pretty good all around engine: tons of torque and faster on the straight.

The short answer is no.

The long answer is that the MT12 case holds the sleeve in a position suitable for a long rod (ie. higher in the case). The MR12 case holds the sleeve lower for the shorter rod. The case must match the rod length.

How do I mod? If I'm not comfortable doing it, could it be sent somewhere?

Thanks,

I'd like to have it modded...just don't know how to do it or where to send it.

Not only does Grinder (Murnan) do this carb mod but he also does alot of work to the crank, sleeve, and piston. As for fuel milage I am getting around 5 mins race time (maybe more just haven't tested longer)

Is that 5min more?

How much and where can I find a new piston and sleave? Looks like the "modder/tuner" will only accept a new motor. I wonder whether or not he'll accept a motor that's had only 1/2 gallon ran through.
