is this because you had to run the tensioner so tight on the 387 belt or do you think something else is at work here?

I ran the 384. I think because the track is suck a high speed track and you carry that speed in the turns. the 24t overdrive cause the push.

ahh yeah I missed that part, I thought you guys were only talking about the belt itself. 23t is the only pulley I use for the same reason.

The evo2 kit comes with 400wt oil

301? I believe Ralph Burch and Barry Baker ran 40/45 on NT1's for the Capital classic two years running on a long main so that is probably a good place to start.

yea I knew it would be slower I mention that earlier in the post I thought you would test 387 mid belt with the 24t pulley I mite give it a try jus to see any difference in handling & speed..

I don't have a 387 belt, probaly won't buy one. Have you tried it with that belt? I think the car is better with the 23t pulley. But, it was worth testing to find out how the car would react with it.

no don't have 387 I would have to get one, i like the 384 23t with the 2mm split combo works well..

I have tried the 24t and 387 (you can use the 384 too) and for qualifying you can true the tires to make it equal to the 23t but for longer mains i usually have to run a 3+mm split and a 23t front pulley to compensate for rear tire wear. the 24t would make that worse making the car pull out of the corner instead of letting the rear push it out of the corner..

it's really something you have to try, but I consider the pulley the same as changing tire size which is easier and I think smaller fronts have more turn-in and more push on the exit.
