Can anyone help? The shim to o-ring or the o-ring to the diff case.. I'm clueless

I have edited this post to make a correction. I never glue the o-rings to the case. It will probably make assembly a bit easier, but I do not like applying CA to rubber.

What shore are the foam tires that come with the EVO2?

The setup sheet is in Japanese, and I think it reads 35f/35r (which is super soft)

Thanks for the response! I actually didn't think there should be any need to glue some of the parts inside the diff. But in the upper right corner of the manual in attached image in my previous mail, the gluing bit is mentioned.. confuses me..

What the directions are trying to tell you (in the upper right corner of the directions) is that after you insert the red/orange o-ring in either side of the case 16 & 17 you should put a small amount of CA to hold the o-ring into the plastic diff housings. I usualy do this to mine as well. I've never tried it without CA so I'm not sure if it's a bad thing or not. Sounds like Scott hasn't had any problems.

I apologize. I didn't look closely enough. It does say to use a small amount of CA. I can tell you I never glue the rubber seals to the diff case.

Neither do I CA that part of the diff. Never had any issues at all.

You don't know when Kyosho America is going to get more cars in do ya. My LHS called to order me one. The day after you made this post and they said that they were sold out already.

Not to disagree with Sam, but if you look on your manual page #35 Spare Parts(2), it lists the Tire Shore as 35. Also, if you compare an earlier "Setting Data sheet" to the Japanese sheet, the nomenclature can be translated, and it too says 35 Shore.

Hope this helps.
