You can use the chassis with no other modifications.
Can't say about the drive shafts without a part number.

i need to get a new set of brake pads. i was using the KM Racing carbon pads and one of them snapped in half

so im now looking at getting either the k-factory real race brakes or the kyosho APP pads

has anyone used either of these and are they the best way to go

I have the Kfactory on my car and they work great but wear faster than the original kyosho's. They give you lots of stopping power, only problem i have is now i have to tighten up my belts because it makes them skip it stops so hard .

I am about to put a set of the K-factory pads on my new Shimo car cause I have always wanted to try them. I have a new set of APP pads standing by in case I don't like them. I have been using the APP pads on my original RRR for 3 years now. They work quite well.

they're good

there are two brake pads from kyosho that fit, the app's from the rrr and then the truggy ones. i use the truggy ones over the app's with an old school steel disc.

i am using the KM pads at the moment, the carbon is thick enough that I believe that the broken ones above were an oddity at best.
