Default NTC3 steering rack questions.

Hey guys turns out as Im rebuilding some stuff on this car I find that I have to get a new steering rack on it due to stripped hardware before I got it. Ive seen an "optional ball bearing steering bearings" but no kit? Do these just go in place of the bushings or is it an entirely different setup?

The only difference is changing out the bushings to bearings. I believe they are 3/16x5/16.

You are correct it replaces the standard brass bushings. While you at it replace all of your ball studs and ball cups. Try minimized the vertical play in the steering rack. You may want to get some small shims and place them on the button head screws. Makes sure it doesn't bind left to right; but close to no up and down movement.

Race you later...
