I have found FastTire suit me best either at CP or Rev. However, once in blue moon I mix them with the Zac, though.

I found Nirto Shoes to work the best on the Nitro TC3....40 fronts and 40 rears in the Final try using 45 rears they feel very close to 40s for traction but have longer wear...

Once Again good luck to everyone going to the Nats...wish I could be there,

Barry

Sorry to hear that you won't be racing Nats Barry.

I don't know about everyone else, but the 40/45 or the 40/40 hasn't seemed to work for me with my NTC3 at revelation lately. I too was at the McCoy championships and used 40/40 nitro shoes and they worked excellent. I actually flipped because the traction was sooooo high. The track has changed now since the McCoy race and I've had to go down to 35 shore nitro shoes. what tires does everyone else recommend using at the nationals that has been to the track within the last week? Ellegi FAST, or Nitro shoes? What kind of setup are the NTC3's using?

We have used RED springs front and rear on the NTC3 for the new track along with a thicker Sway Bar. Go to the Associated web site and look at Barry's set-up from the McCoy. The only real changes from that set-up to start out with are the RED springs and the rear shock in the middle hole on the shock tower. I used Team Orion Fresh Kicks 40/40 and Barry used Nitro Shoes 40/40 and both cars were good in all conditions. Plenty of steering and traction. If you need any help I will be at Revelation on Sat.

It depends on what type of car you have too. On my NTC3 I run 42 shore in the front and 40 in the back. the track at Revelation has small air pockets on its surface, so when the track gets hot, you have a combination of air and heat, causing your tires to heat up more and wear more quickly. This past weekend at the track, someone asked my boss for 30 shore because they were slipping on the track. We told them to use a harder shore supported by our theory. They listened and were hooked all day.

Sorry, I'll be in San Diego this Saturday racing the Hitec race. However, I will be at Revelation on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Dust, you're saying that the softer tires will work, but will wear extremely fast? Do those UFRA tires you sell work well in these conditions? If what you're saying is true, then wouldn't it be better to race in the morning or night before the track becomes too hot?

Dust, what tires are YOU running? FAST tires or UFRA tires?

I don't think Nitro Shoes come in 42 shore for the front or rear for that matter. You either get 40 or 45 shore.

JP just recently updated their website. Here you go.
