strictly for bashing around i'd say get the RS4..but if he ever wants to race , the NTC3 would be the better choice by far.

when I first started buying my first touring car RS4 was also on my list. i bought the ntc3 rtr and i never regret my decision. check this website and the others like www.radiocontrolzone.com you will see that ntc3 has one of the most number of posts and replies. it will not be that popular if the car is not good.

Why not? I just bought the RS4 3SS and it's great. Handles well. very stable. I even accidentally made it jump (a dip on the parking lot!) and it surived pretty well.

oh, and i do love my RS4 3, its just good and doing what it was built for is all. I love my RS4 3 more than my NTC3, but the RS4 3 is not going to win

wait till you drive a real r/c car(MTX-2/3,V-oneR/RR, impulse,705,NTC3...etc)

you'll notice a big difference

in a parking lot,with no boundaries,the SS is fine..(I own one,also).....

but in a racetrack enviroment, you'll notice that the Tc3 handles better, transitions better, maintains cornering speed WAY better...

and is just PLAIN faster....

BTW,I own 2 nitro tc3's also...
