A good time was had by all i think its safe to say, i had some inquiries about electric sedan, do there seems to be some interest there, and we had a small meeting at the end of the day to discuss some items. we have the capabilities of running an oval, for those of you who would rather run an oval rather then a road course we are open to the idea. bring some cars out and run the oval if you would like. also those who may have had experience or if your are a beginner with the gt class, we would like to get this class started and anyone whos got gt class cars, we encourage you to bring them out. if you need any assistence getting on the track or need help with something on you car, we are more then happy to help you out and get you goin. like joe said our next race is may 18th and we hope to see everyone who was there yesterday again and hope to see osme new faces!!
if you know him personally could you give him my email address? if you'll do this, shoot me a pm and i'll send my address. i know he broke his car and i may be able to help him out.

greg - i'm trying to find some ep touring guys to come out and run some rubber tire. there's alot of interest from the south (cinci/columbus), but that's a pretty big haul. we have a few new guys that want to put some laps in outdoors as well. i'll try to stop out for the next club race, hopefully with some others.

with brushless and lipo, it should be nothing but clean, quiet fun. in theory, at least.

Sorry if this has been discussed, but do you prep the surface with anything on race days?

Found my answer.

"The track is totally blown down and then spraid with traction compound (homemade). Nice surface, come on out and enjoy. track setup 8:00 am"

Chris- good to hear my friend. wed like to see the electrics come out so should any spectators that have an electric car see that there is racing thenwe might be able to bring them in as well. right now all they see is nitro and they might think that there is no electric racing. hope to see you at the next club race.

RBLove-we prep our track with simple sugar water. we tried many other compounds, and our trials have pointed us towards sugar water based on the surface and number of cars we get for a race day. we seem to get almost instant traction and when cars get out on the track the traction gets better and better. hope to see you out here sometime

Something to keep in mind for the electic on-road guys:

This track is in the middle of a college parking lot, and not close to any buildings...meaning...no power hookups.

For your chargers, you'll need a car battery or generator.

If you need a soldering iron, you'll definitely need a generator OR one of those cheap DC irons. Another option is to put some plugs (temporarily if necessary) on your motors and battery packs.

Just want to be sure everyone is prepared.

this is the same thing i was thinking at the track. everyone had their hood open and no generator to be found.

Wassup gang...

I had a great time running over at Gary's track! I finally got the Mugen running and I can't wait for the May 18th race at MORR. I am so pumped up for this IGT class to take off after watching those guys run 'em. I can see them now power down MORR'S straight away!

P.S
I wanted to send a special shout out to Ron Wentz(I hope I spelled the last name correctly) you really helped me out Sun. by letting me use your starter box and various tools to get my car on the track. I'm the type of guy who hates to ask anybody for anything because some people act like you asked them for their first born! That's what this hobby is all about, helping noobs like me have fun like the vets. I appreciate you looking out for me.

Al,

i got to see the gt class run at the mws in cinci and those cars look pretty cool goin around the track. there were only 5 but it looks promising for the class to grow. since the class will be run at or mws ou next 2 club races would be a good time to get those cars dialed in for some fun at the mws! see you guys in 2 weeks, its gonna be fun. i need a fun race day after the horrible weekend i had in cinci!
