What would be a good nitro setup for me?

I have been running a NTC3 for 2 years now and have gotten fairly fast with it, I feel however that I am really being limited by the car, I cant seem to keep up with the NT1s and serpents even on the best of runs. My car has good servos, but I think another problem may be my engine, an o.s. .12tg. Any suggestions to help me get faster.

Note: i would like to be able to attend some bigger events this year with the car.

If you can't beat them join them S-720 or NT-1 can't go wrong with either one, as for a power plant if your on a budget get a JL Red dot or if money no issue go for a Nova based engine. Hope this helps, but yes it is time for a more competative car.

which car do you like better? The 720 or the Nt-1? I was looking at the Red Dot looks like a good motor. Would that be good on a wide opne track with which you are running almost full speed for half of the racetrack?

Yes the Red Dot will be fine, I actually have both cars my 720 ran great out the box, and I love the way the NT1 goes together haven't gotten a chance to run my NT1 yet weather too cold but the car looks great.

looks like I will be getting the red dot motor. Still not sure on which chassis, only time will tell, probally which ever one has the best parts support in my area, or which ever one I can get for the best price.

i started with the ntc3 and got a 720. it's like night and day difference between the cars. the 720 looks like a formula one car sitting next to a regular car (ntc3). i have yet to run the 720 due to weather but if everyone else can win with them so can we. i got the jl red dot engine also. you just cant beat it for the price and performance.

The red dot is motor I am gonna get and I think a 720, serpent has good parts support here. I am excited, I will still keep my NTC3 for racing up and down my dad to race, hes a beginner
