Default New Jacksonville Track Layout

I have drafted a few ideas I have for the new track in Jax. Any feedback would be great. We need a track in North Florida that will accomodate many classes. Here is a Quote from the Florida Racing Forum (Make sure to see layouts below):

The City of Jacksonville is having a Town Meeting Monday 17 March 2008 from 630pm - 8pm. Meeting will be held at the Maxville Library located at 8370 Maxville Rd. Jacksonville, FL. This should be the final discussion of funding (to the tune of 1.7 million dollars) for Maxville Park (vicinity of Normandy Blvd & Park St). Plans call for a 390' x 434' facility. This includes an official 300' Drag Strip as well as a 250' x 185' paved area for road racing (ovals and various track layouts). The driver stand will be handicapped accessible, night lighting the entire perimeter, parking for trailers and cars, and complete fencing system.
What is needed is people to show their support and to come to the meeting to get the final go ahead. This project has been in the works for some 4 years and is currently gone to blueprint stage. Please spread the word!!!!

Thanks all. I will be surprised if the City actually goes forward with this, but I certainly hope so.

BTW, The entire track was drawn to scale using 16' wide lanes. The layout is huge!!! Electric is too far out though. I am working on revisions. If anyone want CAD drawings, just let me know.

Well guys, I created a layout in Jacksonville that will accomodate Onroad, Offroad and Drag Racing. My post is below from the Florida Forum.

How about this. This sits in the footprint dimensions I was given, and did not take away any parking. Both the On and Offroad track will meet IFMAR and ROAR Rules for 1/8th Fuel. They would need some hotels and food nearby though I guess. The drag strip will meet IEDA Rules. The track specs are as follows:

On Road Layout - 15' track width---1170' running length.
Off Road Layout - 13'6" track width---990' running length.
Drag Strip Layout - 12' lane widths---132' length w/ 165' shut down area

The Onroad would have several layouts for different classes and the offroad layout could accomodate dirt oval.

I think having the garage space between tracks will help with dust issues for the Onroad track. I am sure the City would be willing to install a lift for Handicap Access to the Driver's Stand, as it would cost less than building that long of a ramp.

Please let me know what you guys think.
