I would like to get a club of R/C racers of all kinds in Central Oklahoma. The goal being that we can finance a perm. road course or use the club to convince shops that its in their interest to build one. In the mean time I'd like to have the club finance a timing system for use in the lot we run in. Are the clubs out there limited to just a particular category of racing (onroad or offroad)? Even though the offroad guys are not interested in onroad activities a larger club would have more clout and benefit both groups. Its conceivable that offroad people might decide that onroad is fun too and pick up a car and vice versa.

Most clubs are built and financed by the members and so usually they decied what type of racing they do. Off road / on road ect... abd this has given us the seperated view of the sport as it is today.

With the increase in interest in RC cars, and it is increasing! I think its time one of the manufacturers were convinced to support a purpose built RC car center that covers all aspects of the sport.

A facility would need to have...

a large track for 1/8th IC and large scale
A banked track around the outside for scale Nascar
A smaller track for 1/10th IC and electric
An off road area for different track layouts for 1/18th and 1/10th buggies and an assault course for Monster trucks
An indoor area for 1/10th electric and 1/12 carpet
And even a small Mini z are and maybe a slot car track!!

Radio fequency allocation might be a problem!!

The facility would be run on a commercial basis with cars to rent and have a large retail outlet.

I have dreamed of such a place for years and fill in the lottery tickets every week just in case........
