Default IGT Tires

Okay guys, we've started an IGT class and need to find tires.
Thinking of a spec tire. What are you using and where are they available?
Thanks!!!

ATS makes some, Twister USA is the importer and I believe he has some coming in next week so I'll try and post some pictures and pricing up then.

GRP tires, Medial Pro (and the tire that Garen is working out the deal on), The Kyosho V55 is the spec tire for a lot of series... I don't like the traction of them personally... that is a start. Garen says he is still working on the deal. I really liked the Medial Pros that I ran at Vegas.

Twister USA has just received the rally tires for the Inferno GT, check these out. I won't have the chance to try them for myself until mid next month unfortunately though.

Default tires

Hi I tryed the twister tires great traction but track temp has to be over 85 degrees, but with some tire rub...after 3 or 4 laps the temp on the tires go up and I can hold on to the sweeper turns as well as the kyosho slics.
I used the medium I want to try the soft...Ill bet they will do well at the US Open...

In all fairness to the Kyosho V-Slick, Twister/ATS & Medial Pro tires, they all work very well and have their strong points. Iíve found that on any given day, any of them can get my car on the podium.

The Twister/ATS & Medial Pro tires are pre-mounted, offer long life and real good traction, but donít count out the Kyosho V-Slicks. They may not be pre-mounts, but with the right track conditions & set-up, theyíre real fast.

Jeff, BBQ sounds good

Ive tried all the tyres available for the IGT and by far the best are the GRP Gandini MO1 rally. They come in A (soft) through to E (hard). You should use these as the spec tyres so you have a choice of compounds

They come as tyres without wheels or pre glued on rims and last AGES!

I use them on my custom IGT. 4mm 7075 chasis, Evolva 2 speed. RB XenonR engine

Cheers

In the USA at Tower Hobbies and in Europe at The Border RC.

Tower hobbies have the pre glued tyres and also the tyres with inserts but only in C compound and The Border has the pre glued in B and C compound.

For the UK at around 10-15 deg I use B on the back and C on the front.

They are better than the PMT or the KRONOS tyres asthese tyres are solid with no insert and therfore less grip

Cheers

Tower used to carry the GRP Rally tires. I contacted GRP and they told me they were in the process of changing US distributors and that the Rally tyre is still available. I checked a week ago and they no longer list the tyre on their website.

Another option is PMT which actually makes the largerst selection of Rally Tyres. I just ordered their super grip 30, 20 and 10 from http://www.fgsupply.com/Tires_wheels...ally_Game.html
