Well, the competition has sprinted past this vehicle... before, during its release, it was meant to content with the Nitro 4 tec from Traxxas, but that was always better, and now with the 2.5... it makes the Duratrax car even more of an antique.

Don't get it is my take on this vehicle. As it was pointed out, there are many better choices.

Because

nitro 4tec, VoneS and Rs4-3 are all better choices though they lack the sparkle the duratrax has... but it is really a vehicle of much lower caliber and performance.

i saw one at a track once. First race... it broke... guy gave up and got a new car the next race. And that car was an RS4 that everyone rags on about now-days (though I have nothing against it because it was one of the best before serpent and mugen made everything fast, ).

yeah,

duratraz does a very good job of marketing there items, and making them seem like your getting alot for alot less

but in this case, it's worth it to buy the more expensive/better quality one

lazy YGM i really need ur help on this one

Like me43 said earlier, look at the used car market on ebay. A "PRO" car(MTX2 & 3, V-one-R, etc.) are pretty rugged so finding a used one in good condition is not that hard. Used RTR NTC3's are a dime a dozen too nowadays.

I also would recommend the Kyosho V-one-S. There's a new version of it coming out in a few so maybe you should wait for that.

The Streetforce was designed back when the HPI NRS4 was still king. That was waaay back! That alone should be enough to steer you away from it.

if it's your first nitro car you probably don't want something really expensive, But you also don't want a car that will give you headaches. Put some extra cash into it and get an RS4 or TC3 or even an Ofna LD3 (I have the 2 speed). All good cars.

Look at used ones that come in good condition.

Hello,
I had a Duratrax Street Force GP as my first nitro car and I am going to tell you what the RC magazines didn't tell me. I bought it for the price and options you get with it, and on those merits it seemed like a good car. The good things about it are the car is sick fast and will do every bit of the 55mph claim. Duratrax customer service and there parts replacement guarantee is the best. I used them both alot in the year I had it. The bad is the car is very fragile and not of real good quality. The motor doesn't seem to want to hold a tune. All the ones I've seen hopped up have new motors. The hop ups are really just gloss, tuned pipe, 2 speed, turnbuckles. It was an extremely frustrating car to own and ended up sinking a lot of money in it. I ended up selling it on E-bay and bought a V-One-S. It is your choice, but in my opinion get something else. I bought the V-One-S, because I wanted a kit, but if I was to do it over now I would get a NTC3 RTR or Yokomo GT4-2 RTR. Check out RadioControlZone for more, that's where some of the owners are.
Regards,
DFS
