how much are u willing to spend?

if your just looking for the fastest roar legal engine

a hand modded MR-12 would be your best bet which will run you around $300-$350

I plan on buying an MR-12 and then having it ported for $60. Will that be equivalent to the hand moded MR-12? I have about $200

nope, a ported MR-12 wont even come close to a hand modded MR-12

when u buy a hand modded MR-12, almost everything is modified to the maxium ROAR specs

talk to Maverick Racer about it

quoted from him
"Any ported motor that you buy will have the following done.

New crank port timing.
New crank face scoops
Piston skirt on transfer & boost side is cut
Boost port opened & re-angled
Transfer ports re-angled, widened & outside of sleeve is worked.
Exhaust port is taken to the Roar limit, 4.5mm and polished.
Piston crown and top of sleeve are re-polished and honed.
Backplate is relived below the transfer area.
Head bubble is reshaped
Head deck is reset to tuners spec"

"expect to pay between $220-300.

Here is a good list of well repected motor tuners and what they build:
Richey (mugen, rb, colari)
DWR (me) (mugen, sirio, rb)
Smelts (rossi, mugen, os, sirio)
J-Tech (novamega)
Murnan (mugen, sirio)
Pat Fox (rb)"

my bad about the price it's around $220-$300(including the engine)

I run the MT12 and its more torqey than the MR. I run it for our short tracks here and love it.

HOw long will the modded MR-12 last? Can you port an MR-12 for me. I don't have $220-$300 right now. How much would it cost?

It's JPH on this board. But a hand mod and a ported motor are the exact same thing, just differnet terminology. In the end you are doing the same thing. But there are differnences between a factory mod, ie. Rody, JP... and a motor done by an outside source. 9 times out of 10 you will get a better motor from the small guy then you will from the big company.

Because you know who is doing the mods has done many, many motors (as opposed to some unnamed guy of an unknown background from a foreign country that we don't know).

I have had really good luck with the Sirio's. I stomp MR-12's and MT-12's.

i feel that the mt-12 and rossi pixi outlaw are much faster and more reliable than the sirio. Also the sirios are known for snapping rods when revved off the ground in the pits.
