Questions?? OS TZ12 Spec II & 2607 Pipe

Anyone tried a 2607 pipe with one of the OS TZ 12 engines. I have just purchased the TZ12 Spec II engine, and already have a 2607 pipe, and a 2601. I want to get the most out of the engine. Can anyone recommend a pipe.

try the novarossi 2630 pipe.the best you can get from the engine with this pipe.i recently finished the break in procedure and i had 7 min run time and absolute power band all over ,bottom to top!

Thanks nickiphorosn.

What Header are you using. The one I was using with the 2601 Pipe is a 6 fin.

How long is your track, and is it tight, or fast. Ours is about 260metres, but is quite fast and flowing.

Default O.S Speed SpecII & Nova 2601 pipe

I recently ran in a Spec II using a Nova 2630 and found that it ran hot and didn't make time. I then switched to a Nova 2601 pipe, power went up, run time improved and the engine runs a lot cooler 95 ~ 105 degrees Celsius. A few guy's are also using a MaxPower 2602 which is very similar to the Nova 2601. Our track is around 330m long with a approx 90m straight. Using a Nova long (7 fin) manifold the Spec II has heaps of low down torque and excellent acceleration out of corners. Give it a go you'll be surprised.
PS. I am using a 17 / 24 pinion with 59 / 54 spurs in a MTX4R.

I have been running the spec 1 with the os speed 1040 pipe and header and it run very well good temps and great power. I can run with any of the non murnan modified engines.

I agree w. u . The best pipe for SPEC I or SPEC II is the os s.1040 combination. The other alternative is mugen .12 chrome .
