Yeap, someone needs to get this fixed ASAP... Or web traffic will find itself a new home, a home that can support the users, and along with slow bandwidth, reducing returning users.. Then site hits will begin to decline, which will reduce advertisers and profits!...

The powers that be, need to get working on board speed, it's what makes this place profitable! Is it like a race clubs catch 22? If you build it they will come?

It does not have to be the connection or the hardware, an faulty database or a bad index can also cause this slow speed.

Yes, it is a shame that the forum is slow, and that will cause many to find another place to post if it does not get moving soon. I've already found increased traffic at the forum on Xray's website....Soon, many more will find that the wait is not worth it. RcTech....Fix it or you will loose a lot more. If one person would "copy" this type of forum, I am sure that it would take off rather quickly. That is all that it takes....

My thoughts exactly.

It's funny......I was going to post when this thread started and it took so long for the reply page to load that I end up closing the page.

I find myself visiting other forums because of how frustratingly slow RCTech has now become.

has anyone had any luck contacting an administrator or support staff to see if they are planning on doing something about it! Ive got to admit this has to be one of the best RC forums around. Everyone here is extremely knowledgeable and make no mistake, it would be a shame to loose them.

It has become unbareably slow!
I hope the new owners get it straightened out soon.
Paying a fee is not the answer. This is a huge site! Look at all the posts and traffic. Payment comes in the form of advertising, which is based upon the level of traffic. I would think that there is a reasonable income involved.
That won't be the case if we stop comming here. There is sufficient motivation for the new owners to upgrade, let's hope they have the sense to do so.

I think it's cool that Rc Tech out grew it's servers, but now it's time to up-grade.

Seems to be better now. Hopefully it stay this way until they change servers. Good job to whoever fixed it, and thank you.

There is a detailed thread on the site performance in the General Site forum. From reading through it, nothing has changed so far with the sale of RC tech. Same connection and hardware. The problem seems to be with some of the existing hardware malfunctioning. The new owner hasn't had a chance to migrate the site to a new home and the old owner doesn't want to replace costly hardware (I can't blame him for this).
