Has anyone used a lipo in the car for a reciever pack?
What brand, size, rating, and performance gain do you think you get?

Inquiring minds want to know...........

I looked into it this quite a bit and actually asked that question here before too.

I thought that the best pack I found for it was :
http://xceedrc.com/product/105001/

which is 60grams.. It's a lot lighter than a NIMH battery of similar capacity.

I was going to get the novak regulator #5465 here :
http://www.teamnovak.com/products/BEC/index.html

which is only 8grams.

But then I built the car and realised how light it is..

I am using the ProTek 2300mAh. I had to shim the gas tank up a little but it fits.

I am using the ProTek 5A/6V regulator.

I used both of these last year all season and it was fantastic. I charged it midweek and did not have to charge it again until I got home after the club race. It usually still had 1200mAh or so left in the battery. That was two qualifiers, practice, and 30 minute mains.

And if you have decided to abandon the USA i would like to know so i can go purchase a new manufacturers car. It is only fair to the racers who have what i call invested in the car. at this point i cant even repair my car because i am not able to buy the part that is broken on my car please figure this out PLEase

Worst kept secret in history, can't believe no one has posted anything about it online or put two and two together with other recent anouncements. Not good....................

The information will be announced soon. There are issues that are being resolved and there will be a distributor in the U.S. and they will do a great job. We are trying as fast as possible to make this transition.
