You won't be saying that when you TR is pulling the 5 port and 7 port engines down the backstraight! I had problems cranking it through the first few tanks as well, but once you get the engine broken in and then some, it'll start basically as soon as it gets fuel.

Hey, just alittle not on those tr motors, DO NOT and I mean DO NOT over tighten the carb to the case, if you do that platic seal that is around the carb base that helps with heat displacement will pull away from the carb and you will have to buy a new carb or if you are luck os will send you a new one, I have done it my self and have seen 4 other guy have the same problem. beside that little problem the motor are very easy to tune and run...

My TR(3 port) has a metal carb base and oring...is the turbo different?..

No, they still have that plastic heat displacment cover on the hole base, just do'nt over tighten the not and you will be ok..

I just started running a standard TR and love it. I am tired of consantly tunning my Rody 3port so I went and installled the OS TR and I love it.

I agree....I just got back from breaking in my 3 port..

it stalled less breaking in than My RB 3 port turbob did all tues nite(which has 3 gallons through it)....

I'll give up the extra speed...for a motor that finshes a race..


now,have we come to the conclusion that the 5 port is just as easy running?............
