Default Alternative Question. Help.! Paint

My LHS sells a small can of paint for like $7. I mean enough to paint one car if a thin coat is applied.

Where else can i go for alternative products that will give me same result? What do i look for? and it's gotta be Cheap.

Can I goto Local Paint shops like Frazee, Home Depot, or even Wally World (Walmart) or my local Automotive place, will any of those places carry similar products? What do i look for?

Any help/suggestions always appreciated.

Thank You
-Mo

The r/c paint sold by Pactra has stuff in it that lets it flex so when you flip over it doesn't flake or chip off, think also has something in there so it sticks to lexan better. The cans are like 5 inches tall and jars are like 2 inches tall. The Pactra paints are like $4 each.

Yeah I think thats what it was.
I thought you paint the body from inside so it doesnt matter if the car flips becuase the paint won't chip because it's inside of the body, not outside. That's what I was told, Am I wrong? Is it a bad idea not to go with RC paint rather than some other paint?

Thanks

The bodies will flex and bend, and if the paint isn;t made to flex and bend with the body when you hit something or someone else hits you it will chip and flake off. Not cool...

If the paint doesn't have the right flex agent and bonding agent it won't work on lexan bodies. I have seen this with a few guys that used whatever they had on the shelf at home. You don't even have to hit anything, just driving it will cause the paint to fall off from the body flex.
