both r awesome cars, u won't go wrong with either if setup right..... just parts availabality and what most ppl run at your track would make it easier

I had a MTX4-R and have just change to a RRR Evo wc both have there good and
bad points but they are both top cars and easy to setup and drive.

Easier to get Mugen parts, and doesnt have stupid screws from kit.

Why I went mugen though I did consider a change to Kyosho a little while ago

only thing I didn't like about my mugen was the second gear stripping issue.. but it seems only select people have that..

both are top of the line cars!!!
the feed back I got from my best friend that drive an RRR Evo Wc is that car have moore steering and responsive that the mugen but he test the car and itold me that the Mugen is moore frendly car but mine's have as much steering as the Kyosho but still a friendly car because the modifications made by a Friend of mine who is factory sponsored racer of Mugen. I haven't tested a Kyosho but I am planing to test my friend RRR Evo Wc.

in my opinion the mtx4r is a car that is able to take the beating of a beginner driver but the kyosho seems to be a faster car. lower cg stock and better internal drive ratio

well you can't discount the speed potential of the RRR... It actually is a more lively car... and suits my driving style.. just not down with kyosho parts these days.. Ordered a one piece engine mount 6 months ago... I do like their clutches....

To address any MTX-4 gear stripping issues, see this Web site:

well I had one strip, But one of the guys I know thats a good wrench and a former factory driver.. has the same problem.. I am not worried about it since I don't own one anymore.. But lets just say during the three hour race the mugen guys bought some gears... my Xray... 0 mechanical problems...But your going to have a weakness on any car... it may be handling, it may be mechanical.. there is always something..

As always; between these two cars; the best one is the one you can get the best support from in your area. I prefer the Mugen. This will be my second season with the car NEVER stripped a gear. The A$$ of the X4 seems more planted than the RRR. IMO. both cars are great.

i have both, both cars are fantastic, from my experience kyosho is more planted, while the mugen move a bits quirky, it all depends on your liking and what your local hobby has parts for.

2 simple things, first the small arm that is mounted on the steering servo horn cut with a dremmer and fit to 30mm on the manual the OEM spec is 32mm, re align the servo to neotral position, the second with sand paper reduce a little the upper arm(pin area) so can put moore plastic washer on the rear of tha arm so the position can be adjust to get moore steering. those are thing that every one do I think or that what my friend told me jajaja...
Also I put 2 1mm aluminum washers on the fuel tank to lower the gravity center.
