Exclamation 1/10 scale nitro bodies

Hey guys,

I need your help. I just brought a Dodge stratus 3.1 200mm body for my Vone S 3 cup edition 2 car, my problem is how do I fit the body to the car? I think my problem is that the foam bumper on the car needs to be cut down so the body will fit over the top.

What do you guys do when fitting bodies? what process do you go through?

its usually easiest to mount the body before you paint.

cut the body posts to a little bit longer than you think you will need them. place the body over the car. center the front wheels in the wheel wells (for now, later you can change the way a body handles by moving it forward or back from centerline)

mark the body with a sharpie on the top of the body posts. make sure your body is centered left to right. keep in mind these are molded pieces, so in reality no two are exactly the same. Mainly the molds aren't always exactly symetrical. ream one hole out at a time. so say left front body post.. then right front. etc when you have all of them done. make sure the bottem cut line is where you want it (roar legal, or slammed check club rules first). and when you have your body height where you want it mounted on the car. I usually just use a sharpie(std size) set ride height on the car and with a sharpie on a setup board roll the sharpie around the bottem side of the body. if memory serves me correct thats about 6.5 mm?

then pawn off the painting on your artist friend lol. j/k then mask and paint.

don't worry about cutting the bumper. I don't think I have mounted a touring car body yet that I didn't have to cut the bumper a lil the first time I mount one on the car.

Thanks, How do you paint the body do you paint it from the inside or do you paint it on the outside. I am not sure becasue i don't want to paint the car and then take the clear plastic covering off and loos all the paint work.

the best thing to do is find someone who has previous experience with painting and let them do it
