After reading this thread, it seems clear that you should look at the Kyosho Inferno GT cars. If you want to try to grow an on-road racing scene, they could be your best option.

We have a new track here in Tampa that opened towards the end of November. The typical 1/8 & 200mm nitro cars race there all the time, but the fastest growing class is the Kyosho Inferno GT Spec class.

These classes are starting up for them all across America for 2008 because of their very low entry cost, good looks, incredible durability, good speed and hi-fun factor.

The Kyosho Inferno GT could be the answer you are looking for too.

mugen R or the nt1 sedan- are both very good had both cars handled great for me the mugen was a little easier to drive but i was just a fuzz faster with the xray, it felt more nimble, but the mugen R comes with a ton of hopups xray doesnt come with any, dont need any but still nice to have

if i were choose i probably go for the mugen R more bang for the buck to me and its quality is just as good as xray's but if xray would make a pro edition and add all the hopups like mugen did id get the xray. cant go wrong either way which ever way you feel more satisfied spending you money
