Default 12v gel cell battery

Anybody know how much current the starter box 12 v gel cell can take? On the box it says charge at .5 amps but that seems like an infinity with the 7000mah capacity. Johnny

i know how much current it can deliver, im asking what max charge current can you throw at it

I just tried on my pulsar, it doesnt work, the input voltage has to be higher than the voltage of the gel cel

I've been using the same Gel Cel and cheap hobbico 12v wall charger since early '01 without problems. I don't even charge it as much as maybe I should.

I ..heh.. usually end up charging it about once every 2-3 races, and just plug it in at about 10-11 before I goto bed, and unplug when I wake up at 7:30.

This might help - there's a small bit on charging Gel-cell's - lots of other interesting stuff, too.
