use google earth, it's great when trying to find a place or any location you want to find.

Summerville racing

I lived in Summerville for 8 1/2 years...and the only form of racing they had was oval and off road. Thier was a place in goose creek that closed down that was carpet onroad over to Fast Track, ( it closed a few years ago).

The HobbyTown in Charleston, near the mall used to have an onroad program they ran behind the hobby shop on Saturdays, but I don't know if they do that any-more. They also had a small track over by the Airforce base, but I don't think that is thier either. That leaves you to only a couple other tracks. You have the Grove in Rock Hill, and you have the track at Easley, http://www.carolinarc.com/ I'm not sure on thier turn-out.

If you want to travel to Atlanta, you have Sugar Hill, they will be thier for about another 6 months before that track is torn up for new homes. (I doubt it will happen that soon, knowing the housing market)

If you go east on 17a, in Summerville, you have a small concrete oval that they get together on the weekends....you might want to go talk to "Ed", he was the one running things last I knew. If you find something, please let me know as I will be up thier the first weekend in February.

If you don't mind driving, you can race every weekend in Tampa, or you can be like some of the others from Atlanta and from the isle of PR, and run the Florida State series. Our next race is in Ft Myers in 2 weeks. But when we run in Kissimmee, that is your best bet, 5 hours from Summerville. Just check http://www.forgass.com/

You also have P&P Hobbies in Melborn, FL, that would be a little closer by about 30 min.(still a drive). A few people up thier might be interested in helping out to get something going.

Good luck
