Default belting your own tires

I thought of an idea. If you wanted your tires belted, can't you just coat the inside with rubber cement and take some fabric, line the insides of the wheel, and then top coat it with rubber cement or another adhesive that has slight elastic properties with great adhesion? It would be great to prevent ballooning of rubber wheels.

//ninja edit//
also, what about using fiber tape (tacky adhesive) to line the insides? reinforced packaging tape?

Today the tires with wheel are almost the same price as without wheel....

But in the past I used Yellow Slowzap, its a slow superglue.
Just place te tire on the rim, place a screwdriver between the rim ant tire, add a lot of glue, slide the screwdriver arround the rim, then position the tire on the rim and let it dry.

My off roads, I belt my tires with Duct tape. Works great! Most guys do it that way. That keep the pie cutting down.

Flip the tire inside out. tape the inner diameter of the tire. Don't overlap the ends by more than 1/4 inch. Flip the tire again and install. It works!

What does that have to do with belting the tires?

I thought about doing this a while ago since HPI belted tires were ~$4 more per tire than unbelted. You would have to use a strong flexible adhesive to bond the fabric to the tire so the tire does not separate from the fabric. Rubber cement is not sticky enough.
