I'm looking to get better acceleration and speed out of my RS4. Now it is a 2 speed pinion gears are 18t(purple) 22t(purple) Spurs are 43t 47t. Now can i mix and match pinions? Like I wanted less teeth on the 1st gear for fast acceleration and more teeth on the 2nd gear for higher top speeds. Any Ideas? Thanks

The general rule is that you can't really have both max speed and max acceleration. You can only have one or the other. However, you can mix and match pinion and spur gears to find the best compromise between max speed and acceleration. Check your manual for the correct combinations or you will end up tearing up gears in no time

With an RS4 3, you can mix and match the pinion and spurs without worrying about teeth count separation.
