Default Kyosho V one S forum

Kyosho V one S forum

We v one s owners are not as lucky as the ones who have "R's" yet we still want to have our own forum.

Some parts from the "R" wont fit the "S" so i hope this forum would help.

I have a prob with my engine. The piston gets on keeping stuck at the top of the cylinder. It gets stuck when the engine cools down and i have to blow dry it to loosen it up again. What seems to be my prob?

Your engine is not fully run in yet, this is common for a new engine. Just make sure next time you stop the engine, the piston is not in the 'up' position. Rotate the flywheel my hand if necessary. This problem will go away as the engine runs in.

dtm, thx for the help.

Anyway, what's the common set up for v one s?

I'm running #500 shock oil and maybe 50000wt for the diffs up front and diluted for the rear.

1deg toe out in the front and 1.5 deg in the rear.

Hi, v-one s can also be competitive when well set up. The races at my area have more than a few v1s in the top ten qualifiers even though v1r is still the most popular.

Where i race i like to use softer diff oil. i have 10000 front and 3000 rear or 5000 front and 1000 or nothing at the rear. Using 30000 or 50000 front gives too much push for my liking. I also set the suspension slighty softer at the rear than at front. Hopes this helps.

If I'm not wrong, the springs that comes stock with the V One S is the same as that of the V One R... but don't quote me...

Black all round is a fine setup to start of... If you want more responsive cornering, use gold up front... if on a high traction wide track, use gold all round... I'm using red from Kyosho up front, which is slightly harder that that of the gold...

Here is a good setup for med-bite asphalt:

Frt:
50wt, stock pistons, middle hole on the tower(sedan tower), caster clips centered, 5mm ride height, 2mm droop, 50,000wt diff fluid.

Rr:
50wt, stock pistons, middle hole on tower, 2 deg rear toe, 5mm ride hieght, 3mm droop, 3,000wt diff fluid.

Tires: Treadz 42 frt, 40 rear.

I raced the car for the first time today at a race in Orlando.....100 entries...TQ'ed with the kit engine....it was pretty comical to watch people come up and ask all kind of questions....."What engine are you running?......What car is that?......"

Hahaha....

Not 100 entries in gas sedan.....misleading the way that read.

I pretty much grenaded it I'm sure...running it waaaay out on the edge.....I was afraid to temp it.. LOL...

From the looks of the element on the glow plug......it was running a touch on the warm side!!
